Analyze coverage around investor days or capital markets days

Financial Event Coverage

See how the market received your investor day. This report analyses coverage of a capital markets day, investor day, or strategic update across three windows, and tells you which themes landed, how analysts responded, and what the reception says about your strategic positioning.

What it does

A financial event is a comprehensive strategic communication. It runs longer, covers more ground, and is more carefully orchestrated than an earnings release, so it deserves to be tracked at the scope it was designed for. This report measures coverage across three windows, before the event, on the day, and after, and evaluates each strategic theme separately. It surfaces the full analyst and investor reception across announcements, financial targets, executive performance, and the Q&A, rather than reducing a major event to a single sentiment score.

The questions it answers

- How was the event received overall, and which strategic themes landed best?
- Did the strategic narrative cohere as a unified story, or did it land in fragments?
- How were any financial targets received, as ambitious but credible, or as implausible?
- Which executives carried the event effectively, and where did performance fall short?
- What analyst conviction shifts, rating changes, and price target revisions can be attributed to the event?

What's in the report

The report opens with an event reception summary, then moves through the three windows and the per-theme detail. A reference line marks the event date on every time-series chart. Each strategic theme, announcement, and target is evaluated on its own, and findings are cited back to source coverage.

- Pre-event coverage showing what analysts and investors expected, event-day coverage capturing immediate reception, and post-event coverage where initial reaction often settles or reverses.
- Per-theme message landing scoring each strategic theme as landed, partially landed, or not, plus a specific announcements analysis.
- Financial targets reception, a read on whether the strategic narrative landed as coherent, partially coherent, or fragmented, and executive performance per featured spokesperson.
- Analyst conviction shifts attributable to the event, the evolution of the bull and bear cases, and specific concern themes with whether the event addressed them.
- Comparison to peer events where supplied, geographic and audience reception, Q&A and interaction coverage, the capital markets reaction narrative, and quotable moments from the event.
- Forward-looking signals naming the commitments the event created, and a closing event reception verdict in editorial voice.

Who it's for

This report is for investor relations teams and communications leaders who plan and run capital markets days and investor days, and the executives who present at them. It helps an IR director report event reception to the CEO and the board, and turns a single event into a benchmark for measuring the next one.

Why Truescope Analyst

Assessing an investor day by hand means days of reading analyst notes and coverage across markets, trying to judge theme by theme what resonated and what was waved away. The picture is usually impressionistic and arrives too late to act on. A general AI tool can react to one transcript or article, but it cannot evaluate each theme separately, track conviction shifts attributable to the event, or compare reception across three windows. Truescope Analyst reasons across your full media dataset, measures pre-event, event-day, and post-event coverage, scores each theme and target, profiles executive performance, and cites every finding back to source coverage. It runs in minutes, repeats for every event so you build a comparable record, and is built into your subscription for the whole team.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to provide for the analysis?
You supply the event name and date, the intended thematic structure or key messages, the executives who presented, and optionally any financial targets announced and comparable peer events. The report then evaluates each theme and target on its own and benchmarks against the peer events where supplied.

Which three windows does it measure?
A pre-event window of 7 to 14 days, the event day or window itself, and a post-event window of 7 to 21 days. The analysis can draw on up to the last 13 months for coverage already in your Truescope inbox, or the last 90 days for global data not yet matched to your workspace.

Can it tell me whether the event will lift the share price?
No. The analysis is most reliable for assessing message reception and is an observation, not an investment recommendation. Some event content is shared only with attendees or under embargo, so coverage may lag the full content, and predicting sustained share-price performance requires factors beyond media analysis.
