Identify and assess social media influencers

Influencer Analysis

Map the social voices shaping the conversation about your brand or category, and see how their audiences are actually responding. The Influencer Analysis template reads the accounts driving the discussion, measures how their content performs, and surfaces what the people in the comments are saying back.

What it does

This template identifies the influencers carrying the conversation on the platforms you choose, then reads two layers separately. The first is hard measurement: follower counts, captions, and per-post engagement that are accurate at the moment of analysis. The second is the visible audience, the top comments by likes, which tell you about the loud and liked voices around each account rather than the silent majority. The report keeps those layers distinct throughout, using firm language for what is measured and careful language for what is sampled, and renders the whole thing in plain business language rather than data-science jargon.

The questions it answers

- Who are the most consequential social voices on our brand or category, and on which platforms?
- Whose audiences genuinely engage, and whose brand content underperforms their usual posts, a sign of poor brand fit?
- Are the visible audiences supportive, mixed, or pushing back, and does that match the influencer's own tone or diverge from it?
- Which themes are influencers pushing, and which themes are commenters raising back?
- Who are the recurring voices and competitor mentions we will meet whenever we enter this conversation?

What's in the report

The analysis reads like a consulting note, with tables carrying the structured detail and prose carrying the interpretation. Every measured figure is drawn from accurate counts at the time of analysis; every read of comment content is clearly marked as a sample of the visible audience.

- A ranked influencer set with engagement rate, conversation depth, account type, tier, caption tone, and how their captions align with their top comments, each metric explained in plain language inline.
- An engagement quality view, including video views per follower and brand post lift, showing whose brand content beats their own baseline and whose falls short.
- A read of how each audience is responding, with verbatim supportive and critical comments quoted and attributed.
- Caption style, brand coverage breadth, and authenticity signals, where disclosure markers and recurrence are surfaced as signals for your judgement, not verdicts.
- What influencers are saying and what commenters are saying as ranked theme lists, plus recurring named commenters, cross-platform presence, competitor co-mentions, critical voices, and discovery candidates.

Who it's for

This is for communications, brand, and social teams who need to understand the influencer landscape around their brand or category before they engage with it. It suits planning a campaign, assessing whether an influencer's audience is a real fit, tracking critical voices with meaningful reach, and learning who the recurring commenters and competitor mentions are in your space.

Why Truescope Analyst

The manual version of this is hours of scrolling: opening each account, eyeballing engagement, reading comment threads, and trying to hold an impression of the whole landscape in your head, with no consistent way to compare one creator to another. Agency influencer audits arrive slowly and date quickly. A general-purpose AI tool cannot pull live follower counts, real per-post engagement, or the actual comment threads at all, so it can only guess from whatever you describe to it.

Truescope Analyst gathers the accounts, captions, accurate engagement counts, and a sample of top comments in a single pass, computes the same metrics for every influencer, and quotes real audience voices as evidence. It draws a clear line between what is measured and what is sampled, renders the result in language a brand team can act on, and lives in your subscription so the landscape can be revisited as the conversation moves.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the measured metrics and the comment reads?
Engagement rate, conversation depth, views per follower, and brand post lift are computed from accurate counts at the time of analysis, so they are real measurements. The reads of comment tone, themes, and recurring voices come from the top comments by like count, so they describe the visible, highly-liked audience rather than the silent majority, and the report says so wherever it makes one of those reads.

Which platforms and markets does it cover?
You can analyse a subset of Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube as the default, and you choose how many top accounts to profile in depth. Each run is scoped to a single country and language, so multi-market briefs are run separately.

Can it tell whether content is paid or organic?
Not definitively. It surfaces signals such as disclosure markers, brand-mention recurrence, and how brand posts perform against the influencer's baseline, and presents these as consistent-with-paid signals for your judgement rather than a verdict, because the underlying commercial relationship cannot be directly observed.
