The State of Corporate Comms ANZ survey is open to communications, PR and public affairs professionals in Australia and New Zealand until Friday November 13: take the survey.
Truescope has opened a survey of communications, PR and public affairs professionals across Australia and New Zealand. It is the first step in a new research report, The State of Corporate Comms ANZ.
The survey tests two questions: whether comms teams are watching the channels that shape what their stakeholders think, and whether they find out fast enough when something matters. It asks which media teams monitor, which channels they believe shape stakeholder perception, how often they check coverage, how they report to leadership and boards, and how they are using AI.
The survey takes about 10 minutes and closes on Friday November 13. Results are reported in aggregate. Everyone who completes it can opt in to receive an early copy of the results.
John Croll, CEO and Co-Founder of Truescope, said the way comms teams learn about their coverage in 2026 has not kept pace with where that coverage now comes from.
"Years ago, media monitoring meant the morning papers and the evening news. Now a podcast or a creator's post can shape how a board, a regulator, or a client sees an organisation before it ever reaches a masthead," Croll said.
"What I hear from comms leaders is that they are watching more than ever and still finding out late. Sometimes the CEO hears about a story before the comms team does. We want to put real ANZ numbers on that, so teams here can benchmark themselves against their peers rather than against research written for other markets."
Findings will be published in The State of Corporate Comms ANZ report, alongside commentary from ANZ comms leaders. The report will be available to download from truescope.com.
